I will be, but decided to replay part 1 again last minute. Chapter 16 so almost time for Rebirth! Just in time for a 4 day weekend
Nice you are going love it
I can’t stop playing Balatro at the moment. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s hella addictive.
Anyone else psyched for the battlefront collection releasing in a week?
Playing through the battlefront campaigns again on my switch in bed sounds like heaven.
Anybody had any experience with iracing? Or any alternatives?
The lad just got himself a fairly specced up gaming PC so I invested in a second hand racing sim rig (for him, of course).
Have been looking at iRacing and Assetto Corsa, fanbois for each do nothing but praise their favourite / bag the other.
Arrving at the Gold Saucer in FF7 Rebirth
Wow what an oppening never see anything so visually specular in a video game
isn’t iracing a sub? to test the waters could sus the newer asetto corsa
Yup, and not a particularly cheap one, with a lot of content being extra $$.
Leaning towards AC because I don’t really care about competing at this stage, just after the experience.
I’m actually looking to do the same atm.
AC seems cheap - you can buy a Ultimate cdkey from G2A for like 15 bucks. iRacing just seems stupidly overpriced. ACC is just GT3 as far as I understand so far, and you can mod the ■■■■ out of AC to bring it up to 2024 standards.
Yeah I think I’ll start there.
I’d probably go AC first, get used to how that whole world works before jumping into iRacing, it’s really serious over there where as its a little more forgiving in AC
Assetto Corsa Competizione on the other hand, they get super serious on that game; it’s excellent tbough.
Definitely get your feet wet in AC first, it can be a lot of fun plus you get to work out what sort of racing suits you best
AC is also great because of the endless mods. The base game is limited in terms of bcontent, and is end of life, but modding has kept it alive. It’s so cheap now it’s really a no brainer IMO.
ACC is good because you can invest in all the content and that’s it (until they release more, tracks cars etc) Keep in mind ACC is GT3, GT4 and now they’ve added GT2, only.
Automobilista 2 is also now really good, awesome vintage cars and historical track layouts.
I haven’t tried iracing, not keen on monthly sub, having to buy basically everything.
Finally playing Elden Ring.
Despite the rave reviews, despite my being a seasoned Soulsborne veteran, I was not prepared for how good this game is
Holy ■■■■
Where are you up to? And yes, its absolutely amazing.
~10 hours in, I’ve defeated the first main boss in Stormveil.
I’ve done a lot of exploring Lingrove, but I keep getting sidetracked by the endless caves and dungeons I stumble upon. Obtained the maps for the next two areas but yet to explore them properly. Ruined my early game build with indecision so I’ve been bogged down with some bosses that should otherwise be easy
As a seasoned Soulsborne vet, how did it take you so long?
Re build, without wanting to spoil - as per other souls games, there will be an NPC in the next world after Stormveil that will allow you to re-speck and remedy any poor attribute choices.
I also obsessively completed every side-dungeon, ruins and cave - looking back it probably wasn’t time well-spent and I got a bit burnt out by the end game. There are so friggen many in each area and they get pretty repetitive with mostly ‘meh’ rewards. Lingrove is probably the most densely filled map though.
I was waiting until my studies had concluded. In hindsight it was a very smart idea
Thanks for the other info though, I’ll keep that in mind
