Ever diminishing circles

I convinced some non footy Qld friends to follow Essendon…not sure I’ll hold them to it now either.

Haha - I will deny I said anything

We’re not finals ready for another 5 years. So prepare bombers fans. I’m 25 years old, it’s been painful. I have never seen the glory days of old resurface. I’ll never stop loving this club, but we are becoming the new big drought club - similar to Melbourne. Some other bloke on hear said it perfectly, it’s Groundhog Day with Essendon, you feel like you’re watching the same side you watched 5 years ago despite all the changes on the field and off the field. Something very very wrong, the curse of leaving Windy Hill? The curse of Dodoro? We have some kind of bad voodoo on us.

They gave up again. Thats damaging, much more so than the individual ins and outs of player performance.

Standards and attitude again. Injury mismanagement. But they gave up and that can’t be fixed in a week. That’s culture.

Who has ever overrated Sam Draper?

Hard to blame Scott with the hand he’s dealt.

Couldn’t stick a tackle in the last 3 quarters

This reeks

Rubbish I can pick 5 players raw but talented

The only reason I bought a dons digital membership (cheaper Kayo) this year was because Tassie weren’t offering one.

Culture at Essendon has been FARKED for a long long time now

Have not seen the score how did we go? Was it close and did we bring the edge?

Interesting post. I enjoy the wins, but the losses, whilst obviously disappointing and frustrating, I’m not that emotional about them (definitely not like I used to be way back when)

I think being poor for so long kinda makes you feel like there’s no real point getting worked up over losses until you’re actually a genuinely competitive side. Because then a loss makes a difference to where you’ll finish and compete for finals. You are losing games you should/could be winning.

Until then I’ll keep supporting the side and enjoy the wins, and not get too caught up with the losses (except against Collingwood and Carlton, and …) and wait for things to come good. Gonna be odd if and when that moment arrives.

Does anyone know what the culture even is?

I’m not actually that surprised at the result, although the margin is a bit rough.

Copping Port in Gather round at the Adelaide Oval was a tough ask, and as soon as they got on top, those flat track bully Port boys got to work as they usually do.

We’re not that good. Neither are Port, but they are a fair bit better than us.

One of mediocrity I’d guess

Why do we constantly name the oldest, most boring team possible?

Sure isn’t keeping us in touch with the good sides.

Play da kidz
