You couldn’t possibly convince me that either of Port or Melbourne were anywhere near the top of their game in either game.

To the eye, we’re about as good/bad as I expected in order to finish around 14th-15th. Somehow Port and Melb have started off the year like cellar-dwellers even more than we have. I expect Port will eventually pick up some wins but the Dees I’m far less sure about.
That Crows performance still concerns me as we couldn’t find a way to stem the bleeding for 4 whole quarters. The Pies game will be interesting considering their form and might show where we are at. I’m a bit worried we find ourselves in a similar position to the one we did last year, where our ladder position is too high too early and we keep dumping games into Shiel and Setterfield because they don’t deserve to be dropped.

I didn’t watch the game live.
I watched the replay with a neutral lense, knowing that we had won.
Melbourne are absolute dogsh*t. There is no chance that a half decent team gives us this much space to take uncontested marks all over the ground.
The unwritten rule on this forum that ‘nobody is allowed to be negative’ after a win, is simply pea hearted crap. It’s called critique.
We punished Melbourne for it, so it’s a credit to us. But honestly Melbourne horrible.

We could beat Pies on Anzac Day and some will still find an excuse on why Essendon won they will say that Pies had an off day and were rubbish
