You are 100% correct. We are missing the better part of half our best 22, playing on the road, at quite possibly the worst time to play a game in terms of dew on the ground (forget the one sitting in the coaches box), fighting against blatantly biased umpiring and still managed a win.

I hated losing as a player and even if we were getting trounced I would try to atleast beat my direct opponent and do everything possible to get the choccies. I played a stack of footy and never once thought about taking it easy, rain, hail or shine. I just can’t fathom how you don’t mentally switch on to play football

They do switch on, when they are 30 points behind.

So if we want them to start the game switched on then we need to give the opposition a 30 point head start before the game.
