Thanks all. Wasn’t aware of the double standards by him. Loflyer is right he should of known about what Macklemore could / would say.

Both produce fantastic music.

Why don’t they release some of it then?

I miss the days when I could enjoy music and not worry about which side of the political fence the musician was. I blame U2.

I would suggest you look deeper.

Pink and Ed and especially Epstein’s mate Kraft…

  1. Kraft. In the ultimate Streisand Effect, censoring artists.
  2. Pink! Lying about feeling threatened when Macklemore explicitly said he was about love and peace and not conflating Israel with Judaism, and demanding sackings and refunds.
  3. Anyone who didn’t go and didn’t hear it and somehow still feeling attacked
  4. Ed. For being hypocritical. For having fark-off money and not using it when so many other people with less fark-off money do it all the time. He got it terribly wrong, but his position is still saveable.

On the right side.

  1. Ed’s band. Who very much had the most to lose. Nobody knows who they are and they did it anyway.
  2. Macklemore
  3. The other support artists who looked at the billionaire controlling artists freedom of expression and said fark the whole hell out of that.

Let’s not forget our own history. From the deep dark ages of 2017, when Macklemore dared to sing a song at the NRL GF (he was awesome, btw, and so were the friggin’ Storm).

  • The Politician Backlash: Several conservative, anti-marriage equality politicians objected to the performance, arguing that a sporting event should not be used to push a political message.

    • Tony Abbott: The former Prime Minister of Australia actively backed a petition to ban Macklemore from singing the song, tweeting that “Footy fans shouldn’t be subjected to a politicised grand final.”

    • Peter Dutton: The Immigration Minister at the time suggested that if the NRL allowed a pro-marriage equality song, they should achieve “balance” by playing a song against same-sex marriage as well.

    • Bob Katter:

The independent MP famously slammed the choice, comparing the performance to “seeping sewage into the debutante ball.” [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

Goddamn, I seriously Hate conservatives. I hate how they pretend to be nice. They’re not. They’re genuinely awful.

I mean…seriously…Dutton’s not so bad once you get to know him.

**Dutton literally agitated for a ‘Gay Marriage Sucks’ song at the NRL Final. In 2017.

That’s who he was.

So bad, this was the best line the media could come up with in an attempt to make him more likeable:
