Slow ball movement for mine. Appart from McGrath occasionally we don’t have anyone on defence that breaks the lines. We rely on our skill coming out of defence to hit targets by foot which ultimately gives our opponents time to get back. Redman being nowhere near his 2023 form is a big impact on that but ultimately we should be moving Martin forward of centre and playing someone with dare from the back half like a hind or wanganeen etc. To be fair to our forwards it’s very difficult to score when almost the entire Geelong side is in the defensive 50

Unless Langford is playing a selfless role providing Wright and stringer isolation. I think he needs a 10 -15 minute spell /burst at half back to get his hands onto the ball and use his kick to find targets.

We dominated territory that quarter for zero result but I’m happy enough with the commitment and hardness shown so far that half.
If we can clean up disposals and find some space in our f50 we can really break this game open in the 2nd half.
Good to see 2MP clunking a couple of big contested marks and scoring a few goals.
We’re on here and am expecting a big second half from us.

Just play on at all costs its how Pies won a flag stop this slow movement in the back half
