Golden Age of Video Games 1978-1982 - Top Ten

Ahh bugger. I still have one of those somewhere I was going to offer up. Big sucker too.

It’s because they’re too flat, isn’t it?

There’s some serious filler on ESPN at the moment (slippery stairs!), but tetris is awesome!

Found a pic of the AC/DC, before I had renovated the house and just after the break up, moved the games to the main lounge so I could use the garage to work on stuff.

Also found another photo of another friends man cave

and another friends original cabs + his MAME cabs, two astro’s running 1000’s of arcade games in original format

Astro’s

and another person’s collection more old school pinball

I have a couple of other mates that have some big collections but no current photos, will find a facebook vid and link

That and the way SONY patented and made them unique made the trinitron incompatible, long story but we have a guy in WA who makes the driver boards for tubes so you can hook them up to anything that can output a 15khz signal, and SONY is a no go.

All good I have plenty and still pick them up on roadside throw out days

I’d just like to say that the 13 ball multi ball on Apollo 13 was stupid.

Never played one, but 13 ball multi ball

JFTR, there’s only one Pinny I really want, and that’s this one.

I won so much in many ways playing this back in the halcyon early Teen Summers… Loved the way it clocked the accumulated balls up top off when the ball was finally lost. Clocked up free games like a Muthafker.

One day, …

Ha. It wasn’t a bad machine, in general, but the 13 ball multi ball was just ridiculous. All the balls just kind of piled up in the middle of the Playfield and there was nothing you could do

See about 4 minutes in here

Totally could have saved that at 5:43!

Oh yeah, terrible!

You guys are worse than the match day thread watching a guy play pinball

What I haven’t seen is anyone make a decent “catch”, let alone a bump save when the ball is going down the guts. With skills like that it’s no wonder we’re stuck in mid table purgatory. Sack the coach!

Anyone seen the car racing rigs some of the V8 supercar drivers are using in their E-series ? $45 k plus. Unbelievable. Simworx make them out of Victoria. I’d think world leading but geez expensive.

During isolation Little Miss Baker has been getting into the Hama Beads. Those little plastic things you put on a pegboard then run the iron over them, making them stick together.
Designed for kids, yet it’s oddly addictive… my new drink coasters…
