I got fitted for a set of new irons last week. Some Mizuno “game improvement” ones.

They’re gonna have their work cut out for them.

That’s like the mental health excuse. Oh poor Tiger. The guy is obviously a complete CLINT with no regard for anyone on the road

I might play 1-3 rounds of golf a year max..
Its a nice social thing etc. in a nice environment. Was a Spring Valley member way back.

But I do respect those that go hard at it and play regularly in far flung courses .. and inter-club type thing.
Particularly Blitzers.

I do watch the majors and Jason Day is back up there at Augusta at the mo’ in this 2nd round.. :folded_hands:.

Played at Melbourne Airport GC for the first time on Easter Monday with a neighbour. First time I touched the clubs since I got injured playing cricket back in Jan and it showed. But good to be back out there again. Playing Gisborne tomorrow morning.

Masters 2nd Round, Rory has a 2-shot lead. Jason Day 3 shots back in a tie for 4th.

Rory is on one at the moment. Back to back birdies and now he is 10 under the card and 4 shots clear.

6 shot lead is the biggest ever at the half way mark. Hope he holds on and goes back to back.

Honestly, this could be a Tiger like win.

I play weekly at the Growling Frog Golf Course. Was a member at Heidelberg but gave that away, too hilly. The Frog is a great course with great fairways and greens. It’s never crowded either.

Yeah I’m keen to play the Frog.

Melbourne Airport has potential to be a decent little course. One of my neighbours is a member there. He said that the fairways in summer were so bad that they were allowed to tee up off them. That’s because they didn’t have access to irrigation. There was a dispute between the golf course and Melbourne Airport and they cut off the water supply they used to use. They still watered the greens but not the fairways. But it’s been better of late because of the rain. Hope they sort it out soon. I’d play there more regularly if so. Only about 15 mins from home.

Please try it Smooth before the weather gets too bad and if it’s not too far from you. It is a really good course. If you ever want a game I’m always around  That goes for any other Blitzers that are close enough.

How were the fairways? I played there in January and they were in pretty horrid shape.

Growling Frog is my regular hit out these days; it’s a little bit of a drive for me but it has nice facilities, usually has carts and I often take advantage of the twilight rate, although with daylight savings over it is a bit tougher to get 18 holes in.

I’m closer to Airport and Goonawarra but I don’t get the same value.
