I was already quite drunk at ”the Depot” by this stage of the day.
Still can’t believe they let me in the ground.
Not an ounce of nerves that day. Walked in knowing we were about to win a GF by 10+ goals

Not just premiership. Sheedy is the only coach we’ve had to even win a final in that time.
I remember Longy going straight through Troy Simmonds, and thinking, “oooh, that’s not good”.
How naïve I was.
Now I can only dream of having a player with that sort of commitment play for our club.

I walked out of the G that Saturday thinking we were an absolute lock for a dynasty
What I realise since is that nothing in life can be taken for granted and that things are never as good or as bad as they may seem

I was a bit twitchy that we hadn’t closed the deal by half time and that those missed chances might come back to bite us but in hindsight the Demons were never really threatening us
I remember a feeling of relief when the final siren went at the 2000 Granny after the ■■■■ that was 99 prelim pain
That feeling was a week earlier for me, after 99 that was the hurdle we had to pass. Would’ve felt it against anyone but it had to to be those ■■■■■.
Was about 3 and a bit goals at HT and we kicked away in the 3rd
I still remember the day. It was great. I was super lucky my dad got us tickets. Relief is the exact emotion i felt as well. 99 hurt so i just wanted see this team get a flag.
Only at 3/4 time did enjoyment come in.
Blitz is not the place for you then.
