Couldn’t name a song of theirs… I just remember their records being everywhere in Central Station Records when I regularly shopped there in the 80’s. I expect they are a German version of Air Supply.
Wrong thread and Very humble brag.
But there was this book…by mail order only.
It was blue.
Had every charting single in Australia from…I’m guessing 1960 to 1989. I don’t have it anymore.
I’d be shocked if no other blitzer has it.
We’d play a game.
They’d look up a song and I’d tell them the artist.
If it was a drinking game, I’d have been carrying them to bed.
After 1989, band names sounded like maths solutions and I couldn’t anymore.
I think…I think it was James Brown Is Dead that made me give up.
No, that was Re-Flex.
I don’t remember Modern Talking having any hit (or even radio hit) here at any point. Hell, even fricken Falco managed that…
I always had to pause for a minute though when music snobs would sing the praises of Modern English and Modern Lovers though. It made me recall those glossy record sleeves with those two German Fabio’s on them, and think “they’re not talking about them, are they?”
