HOT TAKES

You say that and then write this

You’re no serious Floyd fan :squinting_face_with_tongue:

The Wall is probably the single greatest concept album of all time.

Once again (and seriously, with all due respect) your relative youth goes against you.

I remember buying The Wall, going home and playing it non stop for 5-6 hours just trying to take it all in.

Sheer brilliance is the best way to describe it.

Oh…and The Stones album is Let It Bleed.

This does not make it great.

As for Animals, I dont dislike it. Not at all. I think its a fine album. But I just much prefer Meddle. Echoes, One of These Days, Fearless… just magical stuff.

If we’re picking three albums in a row (Obscured By Clouds doesn’t count… not a studio album… it’s a soundtrack) for me it’s Meddle, DSOTM, Wish You Were Here.

Hey…it’s ok for you to be wrong…I won’t think (much) less of you

Soundgarden’s (and to a worse and lesser extent Audioslave’s) heavy guitar sound and reliance on his wail, hid Chris Cornell’s incredible, subtle, emotive, bluesy voice, to all of our loss.

I’d say that about all of Pink Floyd’s music.

Slightly behind Kiss for most overrated band in history…

Kiss is just plain terrible

The Lloyd shirtfront on Sewell was really nothing more than a poor attempt at a tackle by a bloke who never learnt how to.

Yeah…but as far as poor attempted tackles go, it was one hell of a shirtfront. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Absolutely.

We still owe them more than theme is though…
