The next HWS you get - get one with frost protectors thingy’s on it and stuff they wrap around the pipes to protect it from splitting and cracking. We always had that living in the bush.

Continuous gas hot water systems are great.
Totally rate them, but I’ve never had a problem with one. I think mines a rinnai.
About 82% I reckon. Will be interesting to compare your gas usage for the time you haven’t got the solar connected. Depends what else you’re using I guess.
