"But if we trade away our 1st and 2nd round picks, then we only have to use the 3rd round pick on whatever F/S selection we've got."

Wasn't that a fun time?

What day do we receive the apology from the AFL?

Ugh

Why the hell are there three separate free agency periods?

Why the hell are there three separate free agency periods?

Because players can be delisted at any of the three periods.

So why not have a continuous period...

Do you want Jetta?

No.

No.

Do you want Jetta?

Fine.

It ties in with the list lodgements. Makes sense.

Only for delisted blokes so won't be all that exciting, couple of fringe scrubs get another go etc.

Only makes sense for AFL to ensure that they stretch their media coverage through the entire off season period...

The timeline takes them to early December and then with just a short break for Christmas and the New Year we are into preseason matches. Minimum downtime.

For the 9 week trade week... sure.

For guys who actually get picked up in the delisted free agency (guys like Tom Derickx & Aiden Riley) ? No.

The worst part about that was after a few weeks, you still couldn't tell who was taking the ■■■■ and who was serious.

"Can we trade pick 19?" is the new "3rd round F/S pick".

I have to admit, I did post that once. Didn't realise it was non-tradeable. Man we got screwed.

Why past tense? Still happening.

What day do we receive the apology from the AFL?
