You were close

Work out the parking and you will get people to start listening

Should read Tsatas of course

Apologies to Elija

You are correct

Wrong choice of words in my post

There were images of him out on the ground in runners kicking in the weeks before this occurred. I would have thought he should have at least been wearing grass cats if he wasn’t ready for studs

I don’t think it’s unusual for players with OP to manage without a break in playing.

What player ?

I just meant initially, it starts off as sore groins. The players play through it unless it gets worse or it affects their power and kicking so much they have to take an extended time off. Players play through injuries all the time.

Which player? In this case Perkins?

Didn’t work too well for Perkins though did it and he’s still struggling today, maybe that’s one of the reasons we sacked our fitness guy.

I don’t think they really understand OP yet and the best way to treat it. That’s why when it doesn’t improve by itself they send blokes half way across the world to fix it.

Sean Murphy and Brad Scott certainly have nfi how to manage it, how many games did Perkins struggle through this year ? 10 or 12 ?

It’s pretty dumb to think that Brad had no other option than to continue to play Perkins.

A guy I know has had it. No running for months now, lots of strengthening etc, and return to running entirely driven by pain levels.

He looked the same all year, and yet played 21 games. I hope he is either fit in 2026 and finds some form or never plays again.

You would assume that yes, Brad has no idea how to manage it. Just like any other coach. That’s what the experts (S&C team) are for. You would assume the coach is guided by them.

Sure, that’s why he was standing there discussing Drapers Achilles with him before he sent him back out.

What is his excuse for most of the rest of his time at Essendon?

What hasn’t changed is the group of "long term injured ".

According to twitter, Ridley is running laps with Langford. Sounds like a modified programme but probably not hamstrings.

So, we are approx 3.5 MONTHS away from Rnd 1, so I don’t quite get the panic just yet.

We are still in 2025, so it’s only natural that there is still carry over injuries being managed.

Save the panic for February 2026.
