Wow, just logged into this thread. Pleased to see no injuries atm!!!
Such a lovely thread. We should put some flowers in here
So many injuries they didn’t all fit in one thread.
We should have injury category threads. ACL, Hamstring, etc
Actually an injury sweepstakes thread would be great. The game is to guess the player and the injury each week
Matthew Inness:
Inness had a series of injury setbacks throughout his career, keeping him on the fringe of his state teams. During the 2003/04 season Inness contracted a bout of glandular fever, putting him out of action for the rest of the season.
Sounds like the perfect fit to lead S & C Dept!
Have an injury board.
I think we should send all our recurring injured players overseas. Not to get treated, just get them out of the club for good.
So Laverde and McMahon escaped serious injury and Zach is back
wow - who knew these things can happen at Essendon
Essendon skipper Zach Merrett will return for his 250th career game on Thursday night against Carlton.
The Captain underwent successful surgery on a metacarpal fracture in his hand last week, and following consultation with a surgeon on Monday, he’s been officially cleared to play in the Club’s final home game at the MCG.
Forward Liam McMahon will also be available for selection - scans showed no structural damage after the mid-season pick’s hand was stomped on late in last Friday’s defeat to the Saints. He’s trained fully this week and is expected to line up on Thursday.
Defender Jayden Laverde was subbed out of last week’s match against the Saints after receiving a heavy knock to his hip in a marking contest. He is expected to train fully this week and take his place in the team to play Carlton.
Elijah Tsatas will remain on the sideline this week having not yet fully recovered from a hamstring injury that’s sidelined him since round 19.
Of course our luck was bound to turn in round 24.
Yeah let’s do a Connor McKenna on them all. We can have a car park full of silver Commodores and they can all come back to Brisbane and win flags.
All very nice, but what the ■■■■ is the deal with Caddy?!
