Injury Updates

For all the changes they’ve made it still appears they haven’t fixed the soft tissue problems so there’s more work to be done.

i wonder if there is a correlation between players who live south side and have recurring soft tissue injuries?

Move them all to the Marsh and they can train on the Darley oval, they breed them tough there, nothing soft especially the gorund.

Spot on! I’ve waxed lyrical about this issue for years.
In 20 seasons i’m yet to see our strongest team take the field once +/- a player. Conversely, look at Geelong this season who have had this luxury availability wise for the last month, or Adelaide basically all season for example. Good teams have their best players available consistently, yet we never ever do and therefore, we never get to experience the full capability of the list.

I remember back to the Joey days where our forward line of Joey, Stringer, AMT, Fantasia, Smith literally never player a game together.
Fast forward 7 years and nothing has changed, how many games have prime movers like Reid, Ridley, McKay, Parish, Caldwell and Draper played together, let alone a series of games to build chemistry.

This is why our game plan looks average and we are confused about where our list sits.

Are they?

In many many of the highest level sports/team/clubs around the world e.g. NFL and NBA the players look after and fund their own rehabilitation.

But I generally agree that we have an issue(s). What the issues are? who knows.

Don’t start me!!

Rd 3 and Rd 4 2018 they all played in the same team.

But they were all at Essendon between 2018-2020, so from a possible 62 games, that’s only 3.2%.

Close enough to never I guess.

That is quite an incredible stat!!! 3.2%!

What hurts more is Joeys durability post this period!

And nothing has changed with our key player availability since then. Ridley, Reid, Caldwell, Parish, Draper all missing huge chucks of footy with reoccurring injuries. Inditement on the club, that only now after we’ve completely wasting a season through player availability they’re ‘inspecting’ the high performance/strength and conditioning team.

Like who?

Yes, isn’t it amazing that in the space of just one off-season, the medical geniuses at Brisbane miraculously fixed Joe and his persistent, crippling, insurmountable injuries? Bravo to them, they really deserve all the credit for his revival.

Or perhaps it was just the sunny weather, warm zephyrs blowing across his troublesome groin and easing the tension to allow him full mobility?

Or maybe he was a ■■■■■■■ goldbricking snake who ■■■■■■ us for three years because he was a petulant ■■■■■■■ child and a disloyal piece of ■■■■ who put himself above all else, using “injuries” as a smokescreen for how much of a truly massive ■■■■ he was?

There’s nowhere near enough hate for the bloke on here. Has tarnished the Daniher name forever.

Stewart and Hooker >>>>> Stringer

We had the most efficient forward line in the league in 2017… unfortunately the rest of the team was, to use a technical term, ■■■■■■■ ■■■■.

Surely we can install a drug dungeon on the other side of Melrose Drive?

Put it in terminal one at Melbourne Airport.

Fk all else there.

You’ve got that take wrong.

As soon as you start a comment off with that, you know a whole lot of disrespect is coming your way

Not from me my friend.

Sounds like a plan!
