So I should describe the problem I guess - I got hit in my car (which is a hunk of junk anyway so wgaf). Incredibly minor damage to the bumper. Called AAMI who told me to drop it off to a repairer (who wasn't anywhere near local) and that they would have it fixed in 2-3 days.
When I turn up the first thing the repairer says is that it will take at least a week because they don't even have the capacity to do the repair that's necessary and will need to send the car away to do that bit. I'm infuriated but already there so I agree and leave the car.
That was Monday. Hasn't heard anything last night (Thursday) so I called the repairer (who seems a decent bloke), he tells me that he sent the authorisation for the repairs to occur off to AAMI Monday at 9:30am but that he hasn't heard anything back so he can't do anything on the car until he does. (So essentially it will be another week at least).
So I'm infuriated and call AAMI to complain and ask what's taking so long and after I have finished saying my piece they say that they can't tell me anything because I'm not the primary account holder (my wife is).
