Johnny Depp decided to bring his pet dogs with him to Aus, on his private jet, disregarding our laws and rules. He did not follow protocols, or get it cleared first. He has been asked to ‘take them back straight away’.
I just heard a ‘customs’ guy on the radio say:
“Mr Depp will have to take his dogs straight back to California, or they will have to be euthanised”.
Seems to me, that the dogs are without blame, should be kept in quarantine, and Mr Depp, being the dogs’ guardian - should shoulder the responsibility - or perhaps be put down. Also, that custom officers should not be allowed next to a reporter.
Mr Depp is a Hollyweird flog who thinks he is bigger than pesky things like laws.
Personally I think we should euthanase Mr Depp, and give the dogs visas.
If not, make the flog take them home. Quarantine just lets him get away with his crap.
It’s only news because Johnny Depp is involved…I read yesterday that this happens quite a bit and the owners are told to either take/send the pets home…never makes the news.

I do like Johnny Depp but agree that this was just plain arrogant…he should be whacked with a fine and then it should be forgotten by all and sundry.
I want to know why customs have not discovered the dogs on the plane in the first place. Did they even check the plane? Do people coming in on private jets gets treated differently from plebs like us?

what is it about this world we live in that would give a mega star 100millionaire sex symbol the idea that he’s above minor bureaucracy in what he probably considers a barely populated backwater of a country? could it possibly be his and everyone else’s experience of life up to this point? I mean depending on the level of gonzo journalism he and HST walked through cuban customs with luggage full of drugs (and possibly guns if I’m remembering the right HST customs story).
