Yep. Will be put in cotton wool till rd1
Do we have ignore function yet? If you don’t have me on ignore?
So glad this is the case as I saw him in his moon boot on Friday and worried
Don’t worry. If Green is out we will wheel in the Fridge.
Where Green would run away from them, the Fridge will run through them.
Would love a Fridge around 1 debut. Imagine him kicking a bag against the Hawks! He’s only played one game but the excitement is there!
Pundits on SEN this morning were questioning Geelongs depth. The view is that aside from Danger and Selwood ( if he can get a lift or taxi to the games) the formerly great depth: Hawkins, Mackie, Taylor, Duncan, Motlop are dropping off. Below that they say there is not a lot of depth.
Lets see how they play against us on Sunday.
Cats mids
Dangerfield & Joel Selwood
then
Duncan, Blicavs, Motlop (if fit)
Menegola, Guthrie, S Selwood, COCKatoo
They really need some spark out of Motlop and Cockatoo IMO.
Touhy has been allright in defence should go close to covering enright.
Not sure who steps up for Bartels replacement - probably needs to be scott selwood as he barely played last year.
I’m not convinced blicavs will be as useful in light of third man up abolition
Have you forgotten how athletic he is?
After 2016 the following players were rated as average by Champion Data, and also had a negative rating based on performance against age:
Blicavs,Guthrie,Duncan,Lonergan,McCarthy,Lang,Ruggles,Mackie.
The following players were rated as below average and also had negative age based rating.
Gregson, Bews, Cockatoo, Kolojasni, Murdoch, Cowan, Scott Selwood.
This negative rating against age seems to indicate they are on the slide if they are an older player.
Some of the players in our side with the worst negative ratings are Baguley, Ambrose , Mitch Brown, Jackson Merret and Leui.
However, Leui is pretty much all we have in the ruck department
Unless these older Geelong players with declining age based ratings start to lift their game, Geelong might struggle a bit, In spite of Danger and Tuouy,
Geelong seems likely to drop a bit, after 10 years in the top 4. Surely 1 great player cannot address a deficit of 10 years of late first round picks.
We will soon get an idea of how we measure up against a Geelong side that has quite a few “names” on it who are approaching the end. We have some of those as well.
But he’s a STEEPLECHASER!!
Yeah, Cockatoo is on the slide due to age and Ambrose showed no improvement last year.
Why are we taking these stats nerds seriously?
Not to mention luey arguably had the best year he has had since 2011.
Brisbane preferred Stefan Martin. In 2016 Martin was about half the player he was in 2015 and was pretty much level with Leui.
But the reason for Leuis lower rating is that he doesnt take enough contested grabs around the ground and kick enough goals . Ruckmen have important role to take contested marks on the wing/HFF from kickins and retain possession on at least 50% of long kickins
