Thought so too until I got further down the squad and this listing theory fell apart. Like they started in number order then got bored and tossed magnets at the board. Or realised they’d forgotten a few blokes (like some Blitz best 22’s) and scrambled to include them.
Unless we are planning to counter “Richmond’s very small forward line” with a cunning plan of our own.
Seriously the actual squad will probably only be decided after a gastro recovery assessment (cue toilet humour) this morning.
I feel a little post-preseason depression coming on…

There was a non JLT GWS vs Swans practice match that was broadcast on their club websites yesterday.
Interesting how they get permission for an extra practice match. Unfortunately for GWS, Setterfield went down with a ruptured ACL when he was looking at being in their best 22.
Does anyone know whether this game will be the feature game on The Winners tomorrow night and whether Doug Bigelow and Goeff Leek will be calling it?

Like all practice games, I’ll take very little away from this performance other than having a look at some kids, who’s changed physique and the entertainment of watching our boys out there again.
Other than that, nothing else should be taken away from these practice matches.
I’m most interested in Langfords game, He kicking on as a mid would make a huge impact to the entire side.
Unless we win this. in which case we can all go to the lid off thread.
With these games, you might as well not have a scoreboard. Absolutely meaningless other than dusting out the cob webs.
