Same with Arabs. When it comes to a feast, wogs and Arabs don’t f**k around.
As I learnt.
Well they would if we matched a Brissy offer. They’d have to trade for him. Not sure they’ve got a good enough first round pic this year for them to get a deal done. I hope Joe stays
As far as quality coffee in Adelaide goes, there is a cafe called Coffee in Common. I don’t know where it is over there, but what I do know is that they used to run a cafe in Napier St in Essendon, right next to the fish and chip joint. Hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had. So you SA blitzes are extremely lucky that the owner of the company decided to move back home. I don’t know if he’s opened up yet, but he is running a coffee supplies and wholesaler business, but he will probably open up a cafe soon. Keep an eye out for him, his name is Shaun. Great guy and makes the best coffee I’ve ever had!
Welcome to the Greek food experience. I know I’m biased but it’s the best! Something for everyone. The Greeks did win Plate of Origin the other week after all
I just googled and I don’t think there’s a shop as yet but I’ll keep my eye out.
I can see why. Sure as hell won’t be waiting 36 years before we return! Sensational - and healthy, too.
In an attempt to remain on topic, I hear Joe Dan may or may not like Greek food. I heard this from an ITK.
You guys just had to upset @em2009, and she posts that as sweet, sweet revenge
I would kill for something like that, relaxing, out and about right now.
The food wouldn’t touch the sides.
Yep +1 for Shaun and coffee in common. I miss that place but he’s got guest spots at a few cafes in Adelaide, check his Instagram. Otherwise elementary is quality, it’s in some random lane in the “CBD”
I was born in Melbourne and have lived here for about two-thirds of my life (I’m 39). I fell out of love with the place a long time ago (still living here though) and these are the reasons why…
It’s busy all the ■■■■■■■ time
The population growth is ridiculous and completely unsustainable
Everything is bloody expensive; hardly anyone can afford to buy a house
Public transport is ■■■■
Traffic is ■■■■, including on weekends
The weather is ordinary and oftentimes frustrating
The crime rate went up recently, even though people are barely able to leave home
The people are becoming increasingly pretentious, inconsiderate and arrogant
The way Melburnians criticise other places (eg Adelaide) is ■■■■■■■ tedious
Nonsensical, hardcore left-wing attitudes have become the norm
You often have to line up if you want to go out for breakfast on weekends (really)
You get to watch Essendon FC play live more than once a year
On the flipside, it has good pubs (inner suburbs) and some nice parks.
I just looked on instagram and one of my fave baristas follows them so they must be decent.
It wasn’t just the coffee, the food was exceptional as well. Great service every time. If he brings that quality to Adelaide I dare say news will spread pretty fast…
F**KING BRILLIANT!
Take note you pack of deadshits.
Have lived in Townsville, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
Melbourne my least favourite, by a margin.
Mate, you should move to Daylesford as that’ll help you fall back in love with [insert your love here].
You should see Daylesford on a weekend. Most unpleasant (and full of Melburnians).
Yep. Only problem was you could only fit about 12 people in the joint
Yep. Melbs was in it’s Heyday in the 90’s, and into the Noughties, … but it’s just an overpopulated over hipstered self absorbed mess these days.
Good bands.
