So much for wanting to escape the attention of the Melbourne football bubble. Being interstate right now helps ease that focus, but such a triumphant return won’t go unnoticed nor without comment.
Don’t forget he’s already escaped to the Daylesford Bubble.
Which I’m told consists entirely of handmade candles, handmade scarves, handmade moustache trimmers, handmade beers, and Jack Russell terriers.
No Melbourne football journos will go within 20 km’s of the place. (Except possibly Bob Murphy)
He certainly gives you hope when the team is going forward. All season I just sit there with pretty much zero confidence that smack, steward would step up an take the game apart but it changes the mood when Joe is up an about. Well played by Joe
I love him but signing him for 3 years on good money would just be repeating the same mistakes this club has made over the last few decade. 2 years on good coin is fair enough given he’s played a handful of mostly poor games since 2018.
How many decade? All the decade?
I haven’t seen a mark like this since Lloyd was in his prime.
He’d be doing this every week against 3-4 defenders.
I can’t remember where, but someone did mention that clubs are unable to sign players to new contract at the moment.
I assume that’s the case here?
That restriction has been lifted now.
Did Dan Andrews approve?
And a lot of women wearing comfortable shoes.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Handmade banjos…
I too was there, for both the Four Danihers and the Carmen headbutt. Loved seeing the four brothers playing together from the outer. (It was always good to beat St Kilda at Moorabbin!) Sadly, I was in the St Kilda Social Club the day Carmen was reported and I missed most of it.
Hearing joe speak sounds like he is in a good space with himself and club!
Fingers crossed the body holds up and chooses to stay
ADD is rife amongst Blitzers I guess.
The Joey pendulum swings wildly after one game. Joey was fabulous, exciting and all we expect. But one game !! I want to see this every games from now until the Bombers win a flag.
I am not confident he will stay, but his price just went up again by maybe 300%.
Writing a contract will be risky and some Clubs may put offers in front of him that EFC just will not do. Lucky COVID has knocked the salary cap around.
Give him 5 years.
My sauces have told me unequivocally that they think there is a possibility that JOEDAN could re-sign soon. Stay tune for more.

Reflecting on his performance on Thursday night I wonder if he was probably held back too long. Clearly his body was & is up to it.
His performance suggested to me that he could have come back weeks ago.
I understand that the club had asked him to tell the club when he thought he was ready this was after the docs had cleared him to play a while ago.
I guess it was largely up to Joe in the end.
I think a guy with his elite skills can drive a club to a flag. I hope he stays fit & at Essendon.
How would Joe handle being at a club north of the border injured, without family around him in a lock down scenario?
Joe strikes me as an active mind that would be crushed by that. Like the rest of us.
I vote for Joe D staying at Essendon.
I think there is a good chance he will stay with the club or leave. The stunning return against the Hawks makes it more likely he will stay with the club unless it means that other clubs will increase their offers which might mean he leaves.
That’s some decent hedging right there.
