Jumper numbers for 2022

Am I missing another thread on this? I just noticed the Club had updated its Facebook page with official numbers for the draftees.
If there is another thread I apologise but will list these here anyway

Hobbs 8
Snelling 11
Durham 22
Baldwin 26
Lord 28
McDonagh 36
Voss 39

LOL; look up.

What’s interesting for me is that there’s not going to be any vacancy’s in the premium numbers for a while.

12 and 18 are the most likely to be up for grabs in the near term. Everything else below 30 seems set for at least 3 years

Don’t forget 5, 9 and 10 according to some of the minor cognoscenti here.

I get Nic Martin 37 replacing Dylan Clarke, but Tex Wanganeen seems to be time sharing Walla’s number 43, I know he wore it during the Bulldogs game moments before he was listed, but apparently he hasn’t given it back yet???

Tex is 40. He was wearing 43 during the practice games, possibly in support of tippa

My favourite topic of the year

A few very good numbers up for grabs this year.

5: Archie Perkins
10: Nic Martin
12: Pick 4
16: Will Setterfield
18: Sam Weideman
33: Alwyn Davey
36: Jayden Davey
37: Draft Pick

I’m leaving #5 for pick 5

One of the Daveys, probably Jayden, in #36 after Uncle Aaron

Move Nic Martin up to #10
Setterfield #12
Weideman #18

And then the draftees in order for 32, 33, 37, 45

Davey bros in 36 and 43 (assuming Tippa doesn’t come back)

I’m assuming you have taken liberties with Ham and Waterman not continuing?

Don’t mind #5 for pick 5. Sheezel will look good in 5 actually.

I do think Perko needs an upgrade though.

I don’t think you ever need to bump up sub-20 numbers.

I’d go with:

5: Archie
10: second draft pick
12: Setterfield
16: Weideman
18: first draft pick

Coin toss for which Davey brother get’s Froggy’s number/let them decide.

Martin can stay in 37 for now.

Jake Kelly is wearing froggy’s number

Whoops, of course he is. 36 was uncle Aaron wasn’t it?

Yes, 36 at Melbourne

I feel like number 18 is Hurley’s number to pass on.

And he should give it to Harry Jones, imo.

He’s already got Ken Fraser’s number…best CHF we’ve ever had. Keep

Not a terrible call. But I do really like Harry in 23, it just fits well and looks right.

#5 Will Setterfield
#10 Pick 5 (possible split picks)
#12 Jake Kelly
#18 Sam Weideman
#29 Alwyn Davey
#36 Jayden Davey
#40 Tex Wanganeen (stays for now but…)
#43 Anthony Munkara (assuming no Tippa)

Maybe see what other numbers open up if there are more delistings, but I wouldn’t be handing #5 to Setterfield.
