Jumper numbers for 2026

Maybe Caddy wants an upgrade?

The AFL changed the ruck rules quick-smart after a particularly good combination game of Lalich and Hille.

LOL, there’s already a thread called ā€œJumper numbersā€, rename blocked.

Obviously not a fan of my warped sense of humour. Name the obscure and omit the obvious.

Sorry, my bad. That must also be why Johnny Allan’s not there! That and the fact he only played 10 games and that was in 1913. He’s the oldest Essendon no 23 on afltables.com

btw It was his birthday yesterday. He would have been 137 years old.

Me go on and on about something? Doesn’t sound like me.

I wonder if Goldstein remembers playing against him?

You’d think with pretty safe assumption that 2, 7, 8, 9, 15 are absolutely free for next season.

Big chunk of great numbers on offer!

8 is reserved for SOD.

it will be good to see No 7 being used again. Can’t believe nobody has worn it since Leroy left in 2014.

Vigo - 2?

Clarke - 7

SOB - Leave 8 for him

9 - Caddy

15 - W Duursma

2 - Christian Petracca

33 - Zac Bailey

I don’t know how that’s going to happen, but…

I’d like to propose Lewis Hayes for number 2

He’s already wearing one of our most famous KPP numbers?

Fair point

2 - Caddy (wore it for Victoria and I believe I’ve heard that he wants a single digit number)

7 - Martin (assuming Zerrett goes, moves from 37 to 7)

9 - Clarke (36 to 9, because 3+6=9, duh)

29 - Zane Duursma (just going along with rumours, takes the number next to his brother)

30 - Willem Duursma (again, I don’t know how, but why not)

3 brothers on the list, the new Danihers = winning.

More to come…

I don’t like an existing player taking Merretts number, the players he has lead shouldn’t be in a rush to grab his jumper after all this if he leaves. Would rather a draftee come in and make it his own
