Received an email about another $5 price hike for the p!ss poor service/coverage they offer. im on Kayo Standard - 1 screen, 1080p resolution. absolute sh#t.
I just want a new GUI, one that you don’t have to memorise. Say you’re watching AFL, NRL and cricket, you’ve just got to wander all over the place. There’s absolutely nothing instinctive about it at all.
I’ve got a book here on the subject The Inmates Are Running the Asylum. They’ll get you where you want to go if you’ve got experience with mazes.
Unless a family member or mate share me a login next season, I’ll sign up for IPTV and just grab a stream that way.
DAZN owned Kayo just seems like a one way ticket to price gouging because there’s a billionaire who can.
The GUI should allow channel surfing across live channels (up/down without needing to select an option).
Also, an offer I had for the last two years expired last week, and Kayo can GAGF for amping up their prices. $40 a month is an absolute joke.
yep - interface is frustrating, especially how the live shows are not always there to select.
My workaround is to go to settings and change profile and re-pick my profile. It refreshes with the live stuff.
Kayo sent me a text offering one month at $1. I am undecided if watching Essendon get shat on for the next month is worth $1. (The only other sport I could interested in over the next month is MLB, for which I have an annual subscription so not at all tempted to sit through Kayo’s gambling ads at every innings break).
We should organise a mass blitz quit kayo weekend.
Reckon if there’s enough of us it would make some retention managers day at Kayo
.
Knowing Essendon that could be organised in late August.
I just went to cancel Kayo because heading overseas for a few weeks shortly and they offered $15 for 6 months.
Is there a vpn that allows you to watch kayo offshore. Anyone done it successfully.
Watchafl is $42 a month so not using that.
ExpressVPN works.
Private Internet Access VPN does not.
Those are the only ones I’ve tried while overseas.
Proton does as well, used it while in nz
Sometimes you need to server hop until you find a specific one that isn’t blocked
The free or paid version?
Does the free version have enough bandwidth to stream Kayo?
I had paid so not sure sorry, but from what I can see online people can still easily get 300Mbps on it which is more than enough for kayo. No data limits
I wouldn’t use a free one myself though personally
The free proton one says it randomly chooses from 5 different country servers, so unless it randomly chooses Australia it wouldn’t work.
West Indies test coverage on Kayo includes ads. Feel like I’m watching Channel 9 rubbish.
During overs?
Yes. Can’t remember which one, but if you shop around you should find one that offers at least a free trial with an Aussie VPN server.
We’re overseas now and using Kayo with Nord VPN.
Sometimes you have to have a couple of goes or do a change of IP address but we’ve watched both footy & Motogp no worries.
host broadcaster probably fades to black during breaks, so there’s gotta be something put in there
yeah free vpns are no bueno
if an online service is free, then that generally means you and your activity is the product being sold to someone else
Like WhatsApp?
Edit: or possibly Waze… Can’t remember which one it is.
