If IIRC, it’s ESPN that bought the rights to the series?
So, unlike Fox Footy who are Kayo and can guarantee no ads during play, Kayo is probably taking the straight ESPN Australia feed, who are putting in ads to cover the rights fee they paid.

Admittedly, I only watched for about an hour or so this morning whilst also running around getting ready for my day, but noticed no ads on Disney + (they have ESPN), so maybe try that if you have that platform.
There were definitely ads on Disney + for me.
Okay, guess I’m more desensitised to advertising than I thought, because I honestly didn’t notice any. 
I’ve been watching for an hour now and had 20 seconds worth of ads, so not surprised I thought there were no ads this morning. Almost literally blink and you’ll miss them. So technically there are ads, but you’d need to try hard to notice them.
Stream hasn’t been great this weekend. Probably more my internet (?) than Kayo itself. Normally don’t have any streaming problems.

It has been crapper than the last month or so.
I have FTTP, 4K devices throughout. Their claims of 4k streaming are rubbish, even their own in stream diagnostics prove that.
It’s been better for me since running the app on new Google TV, but this weekend was jittery and blocky again.
For three weeks earlier in the season I could only get mobile device resolution through the laptop using my old dumb TV as the output. Unwatchable. Of course they claimed it was my internet connection, despite proof that it was running at +9MB/s.
They suck.

Yes. They did when Murdoch owned them and worse now. Against my better judgement, I took up their $1/month offer but felt ripped off.

Ehh, I’d consider it for F1s, but I cbf for AFL.
I’ll still watch Essendon games when they are FTA but otherwise I might just watch VFL if I want to watch footy.
