Kayo sports

I had a similar experience when I had ADSL and would watch Optus sports and it would buffer and pixilate a bit. Since getting NBN it seems to work fine whether I’m watching live sport like the euro final or EPL replays. Hoping that my Kayo will be fine

I think it’s time to cut the Foxtel cord

Kayo works fine for me.
Optus gives me the most grief for some reason but even that’s been better the last few weeks.
I don’t mind paying for all these subscriptions but I’d love them all to be somehow all linked or easier to change between them.

Optus has a horrible interface on AppleTV, also from time to time I’ll get a “Are you still watching” faded grey screen at the 90th minute of a match. Infuriating.

I’ve found google TV to be good at that, even has continue watching whether you’re using netflix/stan/ect and just has a combined list of what you are currently viewing

Might have to try that, can be a bit of a pain swapping between Foxtel/Kayo/Netflix/Stan/Optus

No problems for us with Kayo (on NBN via AppleTV)- go for it and save some $$$ over that foxtel crap

Ps4 now has all of those.(finally kayo!)

You can pick up an old ps4 pretty cheap I think these days given the ps5 is here

Also easy with a newer model tv’s. Well at least it is with my new Samsung. Don’t need my Apple TV anymore

The buffering issue is a Kayo problem. They cheap out and refuse to allocate higher bandwidth to customers.

NBN makes it better, but it’ll never be truly fixed while they continue to provide a ■■■■ service

I saw that Kayo is going to stream the practice matches this year. Does anyone know if they’ll be “freebies”? Or will we need a subscription to watch them?

A bit of talk in the praccy match thread about how to get Kayo.

My former electrify provider put their prices up, so I switched over the Alinta, which includes free 12 months Kayo.

(Not sure if available everywhere or only in certain areas.)

I only have the really old appletv. I don’t think it has Kayo. Does it depend on the Apple TV model?

need at least second generation apple tv where you can download apps.

Yeah.

I think I have an OG one.

But!! I have a PS4 which now has Kayo app. So instead of trying to mirror via appletv in my shed to an old 40inch screen, I can just watch on the big tv!!!

Heading overseas for a couple of weeks. Does Kayo work in NZ? What’s the alternative to watch the game outside Aus?
