Thought our kids were collectively poor tonight, and got nothing out of our big guys. Definitely lacking a defensive gorilla.

Agree. It happened last week too but winning camouflages that. They fly for the same ball constantly. Itās not like they didnāt play together last season. Jones played 16 games. Thereās zero connection/chemistry. The forward line does not work as a team. Nobody is prepared to sacrifice and make leads just to open up space and know they arenāt getting the ball but their teammate will.

We didnāt deserve to win.
At no stage did we show the intensity to tackle and defend like we did last week.
And that in a nutshell, is who we are.
We arenāt consistent enough across time to actually be any good.

Hind, Hobbs, Langford, Snelling, DāAmbrossio and Durham with a total of 3 tackles between them.
How the fark?
Our worst is farking diabolical.
Our best is mediocre at best.
Last week, our defensive effort (that blue collar football) drove the effort and our attack fed off it. Tonight, there was no defensive effort and our attack was a whole lot of nothingness.

And since we donāt donāt work hard enough / work hard all the time we get caught out far too often.
Itās frustrating to go from how we started to what we dished up from 2nd qtr onwards. That level of commitment is a worry.

Forget the crappy structures for a moment, sure theyāre bad but Iāve said this: WHERE THE ā ā ā ā IS THE HUNGER? Itās that simple, if things arenāt happening, you fcking well make them happen you overpaid pos losers.
Take a look at the first ten minutes and the last three of the entire game and thatās what we had. Canāt expect to win a game off that sort of endeavour - less than a quarter in total of good, hard, honest footy. While a lot of that falls on the shoulders of those on the park, Iām massively concerned weāll stick with Rutten who just doesnāt seem to ask of his charges for more endeavour. This is something Dimma never gets enough of, it resonates through their entire list - make it happen or jog on. It is their culture.
I know this is elementary and sounds a bit Under 10ās coach but a good bit of determination goes a long way and they showed very little of it, didnāt look switched on therefore mentally soft, played second to the contest and all I can do is credit our opposition for doing exactly that. So ā ā ā ā you EFC, take a good hard look at yourselves, utterly pathetic from top to bottom.
I enjoyed Truckās work last year but itās fallen off a cliff. Heās completely lost me now, not up to it.
