Do any of you have a mate like this guy?
Just an ordinary looking bloke among our group of friends, liked a beer, told average jokes and was OK to be around, but honestly there was no sport where any of us were better than him. Thrashed us at tennis, footy, basketball, tabke tennis, hockey. You name it he was not streets ahead, he was miles ahead. Then we would go inside, he won trivial pursuit, cards, everything. Fark. It was nauseating, but we had to admire him for it.
He is retired now, after a fairly undistinguished work career. Leadership qualities… I dont know.
If he reads this, he will know who I am.
