Weāve finally got a midfield.
I mean of all the reasons we havenāt won in twenty years. Not having a midfield was probably the biggest factor.
Itās now been fixed. Ironically our key position stocks are a bit of a mess.

Youāre right but I donāt know how ironic it isā¦ spending big on mids was always going to have an effect elsewhere. Covidās been useful thoughā¦ given Zerk, Draper etc a bit more time to develop

I canāt wait until the end of the season where we have won the flag, and we get to endure five to six months of opposition supporters and media types making an absolute mess of themselves. āItās not a legitimate premiership!ā they will wail through veritable waterfalls of snot and tears. āIt w-w-w-w-was a c-c-c-compromised seasooooooooon,ā they will hysterically sob. And I will be there for it all, screaming in their faces with joy as they blubber for weeks on end, only ever pausing briefly to urinate all over themselves.
Honest to god it will cure my depression.

Well they will be wrong. For the first time in a long time this will be the most equitable fixture (travel and quarantine hubs aside) that the AFL has had, making it the most legititmate premiership that has ever been won in the AFL era, and thus by proxy - us the most legitimate premiers ever.

Donāt go too early on that. When you can progressively release the fixture after you know how the season is unfolding, it offers all sorts of opportunitiesā¦

In all other areas this will be the most compromised of seasons. Whoever wins this year will have won just as legitimate a flag as any other team, in any other year. This season has placed more stress on clubs/teams/coaches/players and supporters than any other. There are more factors and unknwon vairables at work this year, tan there ever has been before. So those who scoff at this year having a tainted flag, know nuffink.

Lloyd being a bit lid off on Essendonā¦or as much as he has been recently.
On Footy Classified - said that Rutten is the coach. Wins or losses will be placed on Rutten. Worsfold is the mentor.
Thinks the team isnāt lacking at the moment. Called Shiel, Merrett and McGrath elite. Talked about having Heppell, Smith as well in the midfield. Hurley, Hooker and Saad in defence etc.
Also said that weāve made a notable shift from sling shot footy from the defence which left us vulnerable on the turnover.
His expectation is that we will win a final this year.
