Let’s forget that they struggled to make finals each year, or the fact they got belted in finals….. but definitely destined to win a Premiership.

So far I have 6 in the ‘gone for sure’ bucket:
Merrett
Tsatas
Gresham
Guelfi
Setterfield
McMahon
Merrett & Tsatas will get us something in return and with the 2nd round compo pick we’ll also get, I think our best outcome is 4 picks in the top 25, along with Justice & an extra pick for Bewick next year.
So in terms of list changes that’s 6 out this year (667 games exp in total), with 5 more top end draftees coming in (4 in the top 25 + Justice). Bewick points sorted for next year.
What we do beyond that is the question.
I’m not really interested in adding some later picks on top of what we’d already have coming in, which leaves us in a tricky spot with blokes like Parish, Ridley, Langford, Perkins, Cox, etc if we’re looking at a massive clean out.
We could try and bundle up what we get for those types to get another top 20 pick in (gonna be tough to find in the last pre-Tassie draft), but that leaves us with even more list spots to fill, whilst also adding to an already vastly under-utilised salary cap.
So unless we can bring in a couple of decent FAs, I don’t reckon a huge turnover - beyond that initial 6 - is likely, especially given how young we are already. Just keep playing all the quality kids we keep bringing in ahead of them.

Agree with those 6, I also think Unwin could be in trouble and Cox will be a decision to make based on his 2nd half of the season.
But it’s a lot of experience out of the team, not sure how we we get some in to help the kids

I always thought was weird he went at pick 40, but I went to school with him and seen him play before he got drafted so was bias.
Also if I didn’t get into the bad ■■■■ I coulda helped too before being cut by the rays the way were going now lmao
Drafting Parker = no Ariel Steinberg = no ‘Frank the Tank’ = Finals win
Anyone born from about 2005 onward probably thinks I’m bat ■■■■ crazy, but the old timers will know what I mean.

Yep, no clue what we drafted him.
Granted a few things I saw Parker do was in year 12 footy but he took the ■■■■ in those games.
Grabbed it on the boundary line, sold candy then did “ around the world “ behind his back and just powered past someone.
Best underage player I’ve seen play in person apart from myself

Yeah I see Unwin as more of a ‘move to the rookie list’ type. Agree re Cox.
I don’t think we’ll have much trouble freeing up list spots.
Those and Perko is a real hit at our midfield depth. Chances are one or two would be given another season.
Yep I think if things go that way we’ll be looking at a mid like Williams at the top end of the draft.
Having to rebuild our midfield after recently investing high picks on blokes like Tsatas & Hobbs hurts.
We are going to be even younger next year if we move on some senior players. We need to bring in some veterans question is who maybe a few Collingwood ones like Sidebottom and Crisp
Not a single one of those should be on our list next year

Maybe if he gets delisted a club might take a punt on him. Iv’e read that recruiters had concerns on him in his draft year.
Nick Cox & Zach Reid are both older than Archie Perkins. Perkins should be added to the Junior side.
