I was thinking about how Solomon has really thrown the magnets around…

…and I think we’ve unearthed…pretty much…nothing. Positionally.

It’s quite amazing how nothing works out with this playing list. No development. No consistency. Players flip between VFL and AFL and don’t take their chances. Players flip forward and back and fail at both ends…so it’s not clear who should be delisted - they ALL make a case to be delisted!

Bit harsh no?

Bryan has had his best game, Robey and Sharp look set now for really good midfield responsibility next year, Roberts has manfully played on and kept up his development, Caddy with a bit more accuracy would be on track for 50 goals in THIS team, Clarke been getting games and now Johnson, Farrow looks more confident and has had a great first season.

Im sure theres elements I have missed off the top of my head.

Lester and Howe are UFAs. We need throw the checkbook at these guys. Reid and Hayes need some support next year.

Close friends of his are adamant he’s coming home now. A few months back it was more looking like staying but with his mothers health plus about $2-3m difference in offers it’s swayed his thinking

Not sure that isn’t a better result for Brisbane. They’re going to have a lot of salary cap demands from players and free agent opportunities. Tying too much up in one player isn’t a great move. Plus they’ll get an extra first rounder.

They are promising him a midfield spot apparently. This is the main reason he wants out of Brisbane. I wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed at the Lions if Neale leaves and they offer him his spot in the midfield.

If Bailey leaves that gives the lions frist round compo and some cap space, would benefit us for any potential Ridley trade

Cap space would help but I seriously doubt Brisbane are that reckless to offer up a first for him

True but we could offer like a 2nd rounder back, they have an academy kid ranked 12- 18 that they need to match a bid for. Just offers more flexibility to work out a deal to suit both parties
