Gold Coast has had decent lists for years but had rubbish coaches. They would have won a flag by now had Hardwick gone up there 5 years ago

They got Rioli and Noble and have added pick 2 and 5 this year along with JUH and Petracca.

They have underachieved massively thanks to a series of poor coaching decisions.
They had decent enough lists to play finals under Eade and Dew but they always had issues and couldnât get the best out of them
Hardwick is a very good coach and it was evident as soon as he went up there that he would turn things around
I think Dew would have had success. But Hardwick has built a super team with shrewd recruitment to suit how he wants to play. Rioli and Noble being key.
Dew has admitted himself that he got things wrong and didnât have the full support of the players
Hardwick wouldnt last with us people will be asking for his head the moment we cop a few 10 goal floggings

If we do get a new coach you have to trust the process untill it turns even if that means the first few years will be crap.

The money and resources they used on Tassie should have been used to fix up the comp and close the gap between the crap and good teams that seems to get bigger every year
