One thing that could be done is to make this the responsibility of the various armed forces.
It’s gone beyond being a police matter.
I’d rather them actively being involved than playing war games and n Puckapunyal or wherever.

Agree, sometimes the necessity to commit such an act out ways the end result, but the area bombing of German cities coursing horrific civilian deaths didn’t force the Germans into an early surrender
