No, there are no VFL final implications to Bezerk Thatcher playing tonight.
Maybe Hooker was going to play forward, and Hartley is a better backup ruck.
Why would we need Hartley? Collingwood forward line has only Roughead and Mihocek as talls. Hurley, Francis and Ambrose is plenty. Even if Ambrose is slotted to play midfield on Pendlebury (a mistake IMO with Clarke in the side), we still don’t need Hartley.
Nonetheless, good luck to him. He deserves the opportunity.

And the fact we’ll very likely lose with who we are resting/priming for the 1st final, and we all accept that.
