Match day thread vs Dees

OK. Where to start.

We have been terrible, but fortunately so have Melbourne - a good team would have an unassailable lead by now.

Hurls BOG by a mile. Goddard and Dea have been good. McGrath had a nervy start but has come into the game.

Zach is having his worst game of the past two years. One thing you know about Zach is that he will lift.

Bellcho is the only genuine ruckman on the ground and has had 0 impact on the game. The most disappointing aspect of the game for me.

Joe Dan is having a stinker after the heroics of last week. He is capable of days like today. He is at least getting the shots.

Lots of scope for improvement. We dominated that quarter and didn’t put it on the scoreboard.

ironically i don’t wish to ■■■■ people off with what i say, despite what they think. hence i didn’t say it this time around.

but i guess we will see how certain people will react this week if we lose dishing up this sort of stuff, cos it ain’t no different to last week, except we won in the end, If we lose i expect the same people who went me, to be heavy on the attack of the club this week.

You’d think looking at the skills on display, from both teams, that we are playing wet weather footy.

Least worst: Hurley, Fanta, Colyer, Tippa, McG and… um err …, and yeah McKenna has been horrible but unfair to single him out when you have seasoned veterans and the best disposer in the side in Merrett also looking like they’ve never touched an oval ball in their lives.

Thing is Bellcho was playing this bad the last time he pulled on the jumper. the time off kind of makes you forget, but getting a blindingly big reminder today that he was really bad and is still really bad.

Hooker has been no better.

He is both the problem and the solution right now. Back him in, to succeed. Both teams showing obvious ANZAC day hangovers. Woeful skills.

Or how about you let him enjoy the actual times he does get it right?

Just need to play Daniher in the ruck for the rest of the day…let him impact around the ground.

So we give up ANZAC Day?
You do know that’s on a Wednesday next year and we will get 3 days off only

The difference is that we weren’t this bad last Tue and it was wet.

If it makes anyone feel better, Melbourne have urned it over 38 times from 187 possessions.

That’s one in five.

ONE IN FIVE.

Has not been at his high standards for a couple of weeks now. His game is built on tackling pressure. Looks like he’s trying to conserve energy and his game is the poorer for it

We’ve sucked at Etihad for a loooong time now

why did we only do 2 changes coming into this game?

should’ve been like 5 at least.

I bet Jimmy Stewart is glad he didn’t get a gig. Imagine trying to lead into this rubbish.

No, no it didn’t. Which is why I sat here laughing every time someone enthusiastically posted Luenburger out - Bellchambers in as if that would solve all our ruck problems.

I like Belly but he hasn’t played good footy in a long time.

Jobe 8 touches in two quarters

Oliver > Parish

Conor 7 turnovers in 2 quarters.

whats worse the senior gun that can’t get it or the young player having a mare?
