I’d be managing TBC for the rest of his contract to be honest with you. Totally different side. Philips not only had a first and second effort , he throws in an added third … competes … works his man around the ground… this is the best ruckman in the league he’s playing against and he worked him , made him second guess himself … the umpires favored Grundy as often as possible… but this guy kept fighting. He better not lose his farking spot for a walk in TBC.

I’m savoring the moment but annoyed with last weeks effort. Hooker and Hurls were written off last week - now look at them. Crazy game footy. Just hope they enjoy the sunshine on the Sleazy Coast.

After the first 5 minutes I was tempted to watch NCIS reruns. They smashed us and we couldn’t get our hands on the ball. Tipping got some energy going as did Shiel and the rest jumped on board.
If we tighten up the kickins from the back line we would be a top team

Phillips solid.
Stringer solid in the middle and forward.
Ham backed up well after poor performance last week.
Hurley and Hooker were rocks in defence.
Saad good again.
Shiel had plenty of it, probably our best mid tonight.
Snelling was everywhere.
Tippa was involved a lot more today, a lot of perceived pressure on pies players too.
We looked bigger around the contest without Merrett there.
