Don’t expect to win, will be happy if we can get within 4 goals
Loser talk!
Probably on the money though.
50/50 game.
I don’t expect us to win every game but I’m starting to feel like we’re a chance in most, which makes me unsure of what I expect at all.
If we knock the cats off at home it’s lid off stuff. Realistically unlikely, especially without a first choice ruck but who knows. I think we’re capable of anything with the midfield we have - in-form and with some youthful exuberance. Go Dons.
We are much better placed going into this game than the last geelong game. 4 day break off Anzac Day heart breaker. We are in good form and will get the job done for the skip.
Bombers by 17 points. Langford 4 goals.

We win today after smashing them in the middle
One of the footy shows was talking about ruckmen earlier in the week and basically saying that ruckmen are not much value unless they are taking marks around the ground and kicking goals.
English (Bulldogs) had something like sixty hitouts on Thursday night and yet the Bulldogs still lost.
Geelong’s rucks are nothing special so I don’t see that as an area of concern…our mids need to be switched on so that we win the clearances regardless of who wins the tap.
To me this feels a game where we get a sharp reality check. Geelong show us why they are reigning premiers, and how far Essendon is off that level.
I think Geelong by 10+ goals, but am still excited to see how we face up to a big challenge.
Quiet you awful man
Not that animated version.
Amateur
I wish. It’s not really. They’re the reigning premiers still, fielding a strong team on their home ground. Hopefully we’ve learned much from the earlier encounter and match them in the midfield… This is crucial to limiting their volume and quality of supply to our vulnerable and undersized defence.
With this being said, if we bring maximum intensity across four quarters, you never know what could happen
Guilty as charged your honour
Not confident without a fully fit Draper and Ridley.
I hope we can put up a good show for Zach’s double tonne. I think we will.
You haven’t seen alot of Essendon Milestone games have you?
As long as we start better than the last few times we have played them, I expect us to be in the game deep in the final quarter.
The game will come down to whether we can limit Hawkins and Cameron’s impact
Really looking forward to seeing our midfield go up against theirs
Was Hobb’s TOG managed last week? Only played 65% of Game time?!
