Senior coach would have a big influence, CEO would in most cases also (and esp so here given Vozzo is an ex list manager and Rosa is new into role)
And the board is ultimately who they all answer to. Big decisions have to get signed off by board

I think it was professional to not mention why the deal wasnât good enough.
We donât have anything to gain from speculating on a no deal.

Maybe Welshy told Rosa we would rather stand our grand and show a bit of backbone and not be walked over , so it might be better if you dont trade out Zac. Watching Hawthorn leave empty handed tonight restored my pride a little. Thanks to whoever had a hand in it.

There is no doubt Welsh was key in the final decision, just like the decision not to trade Joe in 2019 was not on Adrian in isolation.

I think with Draper leaving and discontent from Ridley arguably wanting out. Letting Zach go might not have the positive effect some observers realise.

Hopefully none of our players and their managers try humiliating our club to get what they want again. All clubs make mistakes and have issues you can point to justify stuff. Great decision by the club going forward.
