Matt Rosa - the new list boss man

What would restore my pride is when players (or past players or whomever) says “XYZ at Essendon sucks” it wouldn’t be absolutely 100% spot on and something we’ve all seen and complained about for years. That would restore a bit of respect. Not holding onto someone out of spite

This is the sh*t that happens when the Board gets involved in operational matters……

Getting far too emotional.
Over rate our players.
Lack long term vision, for short term sugar fixes.

All looking out for their own jobs.

The board know that if we are bottom 4 again next year they won’t be able to save Brad.

“We have real belief in the core group of our list”.

Do we think Rosa believes this, or is he parroting Andrew Welsh’s opinion.

What’s wrong with that?

We were sitting 6-4 before injuries struck the the worst we ever seen in a club ever and had to debut 15 players.

As Bartell said we should judge the list when the team is fully fit

so 2024, when guess what? we were ■■■■.

I judge the list based on years worth of evidence.

It ain’t anywhere near good enough to win a final, let-alone a Premiership.

Can’t expect Rosa to do much more in the situation. He has a reasonable hand in the upcoming draft and needs to fix a list that Dodo ■■■■■■ up year on year.

I think Barham did some good things and I am positive on some of the appointments, even at the start of the season the game plan and ball movement was atrocious. I think improvement in conditioning will help but not significantly.

Oh yeah, we were flying.

Yes, all those injuries when Adelaide utterly embarrassed us on our home deck.

That loss started the rot

Rosa won’t be here long

If it’s true that he’s got very little say over the list, he will walk sooner or later

wasnt it round 2?

Cheap Wins and No Real Growth.

You know the tune.

I cant remember.

Please, Nino. Just look at each of the 6 wins in isolation:

  1. 72-60 vs Port at Marvel - Absolutely shocking game of football by both sides.
  2. 57-96 vs Melb at Adelaide Oval - Decent win against a team who finished the round 0-5 and 60.6%.
  3. 77-75 vs West Coast at Optus Stadium - Absolutely embarrassing to limp over the line against a team who had a % of 49.7 leading into the game, injuries or no injuries.
  4. 65-62 vs North at Marvel - The “at least we’re not them” team falter by a measly 3 points. Utterly embarrassing.
  5. 71-63 vs Sydney at Marvel - Almost threw away a 40+ pt lead against a team who was 3-4 and ended up missing the finals.
  6. 81-58 vs Richmond at the MCG - Really poor game where Richmond ran out of legs.

There was nothing good happening before the injuries.

ROUND 2?

You don’t want our younger players like Caddy,Kako etc to experience wins and get them into the habit of what winning is like

Your rather them be losers instead
