Matt Rosa - the new list boss man

I wonder if he’ll be looking to trade out a player or two with value next year to bolster our draft hand?

Hope he pays back all the performance bonus payments he recived for having zero success.

Could not have expressed it better.

Rosa looks to be more straight forward and honest, not like his predecessor who liked to play games and at times was too smart by half.

I am a Rosa man now, he did nothing wrong in this draft/trade period. He improved our draft hand for this and next year, Added more speed to the side and has focused on youth. Who knows how the recruits will turn out, half the players in this years draft will probably be spuds so all clubs are in the same boat. Rosa deserves his performance bonus ( the one the Dud stole each year) Also adding O’Brien to the team I beleive was a great move and he deserves his bonus and a lot of thanks.

I’m so glad we didn’t play the “upside game” with our second selection.

I think we’re in good hands list manager wise…
Finally… breath of fresh air for sure…

and importantly, with Dodoro properly gone, he has clear air to run it his way

All the second round and beyond picks directly addressed list needs.

Odds are that maybe only one or two of them make it, but at least there was a clear method behind the approach.

Good start by Rosa.

Should’ve kept pick 9

Delist!

Loaded up for a go at Harley Reid or another big name next year.
Smart.

It’s just laughable that for many years, the Dodoro supporters staunchly belevied that the club would implode if Dodoro wasn’t doing List Management.

Vozzo being ex list manager would be having a huge input IMO

Rosa will get the kudos however

What we had to what we ended up with seems a super result both players and picks wise for next year

Few more players in rookie draft / SSP to come

Cat B already confirmed for Nguyen also

One poster on here a year or 2 ago said we would be in a much worse position once he leaves

BOMBERS’ BLUNDER? by Jay Clarke

Mick Ablett dropped a bomb on Essendon, labelling their future-first round pick trade with Melbourne a disaster.

But there aren’t any alarm bells blaring at Tullamarine.

The reality is if Essendon kept pick nine in Wednesday night’s draft, Melbourne and St Kilda were a certainty to bid on him, knowing Essendon would match.

It was a tricky position for the Bombers who had to shift their pick into next year to avoid it being effectively wiped out.

It might have been an unsexy move, but it was the smart one. A patient one.

This year is a big one for some of its recent high picks such as Archie Perkins, Nik Cox, Zach Reid, Ben Hobbs and Elijah Tsatas.

And next year, if the Bombers and Demons both miss the finals (which could easily happen) they will have a pair of picks inside the first dozen or so.

Not quite a disaster.
