Are people serious??? We gave our absolute all, undermanned. Yes there were skill errors, but dees had their fair share. We had a first gamer out there, anothers second game.
Our tackling was back. We were basically within a kick with 6 mins to go.

No point worrying about a game plan when you can’t execute skills. No pressure turnovers will always mean you will be out of position.
Phillips is clearly our best ruckman and by a fair margin, he must keep playing until we right the ship

Well that’s the parts that I said we look ordinary…
First quarter was ordinary, but I thought we had a real crack. They are a seriously good team and we stretched them. Wright was great, McGrath took the best player in the AFL out of the game. I know there will be a torrent of “sick of tis craps etc etc” but I’m ok with that game. Sheeds said on radio a couple of weeks ago, we are 40 games away. Just like Melbourne were

Good to see us play a tag. McGrath did a good job.
Stewart did okay in the first half but disappears in the back half. Bring in BZT.
Liked Guelfi around the ground making a contest.
Kicking skills not up to scratch. At least Cutler uses the ball well. Is there a way to use him more?

It’s not just the loss. Half our team don’t look competitive at AFL level. Stupid mistakes and some really ■■■■ coaching tactics have cost us. If we have no skills and are unfit, have ■■■■ tactics and half the team can’t tackle what did we actually do for 6 months prior?

At least we learnt that tonight. Draper is not our future ruckman…we need another option.

Bringing Phillips in wasn’t the issue.
It was the fact we didn’t drop Draper. We just shouldn’t be playing 2 ruckman.
We were completely immobile up forward, and Melbourne came out of forward 50 with ease. Which was the exact thing I was concerned about, before the match
