On these days, i hate being an AFL member - I missed out on getting Essendon vs Hawthorn on Mondays season pre sale and tried again for todays March/April sale period! At 9.01 all AFL members allocations had been exhausted!
I missed out to and I got on at 8.59am!!
One of the reasons I threw in my AFL membership and got a silver EFC membership instead. All up it costs me more but I know I don't have to chase seats. Years ago the AFL membership was much better as you could rock up and sit in prime positions even on days like Anzac Day.
AFL membership for Etihad stadium are simply useless. More seats will go on sale two weeks before the game, but not sure where they will be.
The ticketmaster website, coupled with the seating arrangements with Essendon makes it an absolute joke. I've had to buy the Essendon home seat ES package of about $90 to avoid these hassels. It's a scam but what can you do?
Yes i am aware more seats will be issued a few weeks before the game, its getting harder and harder each year getting tickets.
Can you explain the process for purchasing the ES package, I think my family and i will need to get it next year.
Club send out some letter where you can have a reserved seat for 7 home matches at ES. Not sure if it is only available to AFL members or to everyone. You can still get some for this year, check the website.
