March 13 is still a while away
Poor old membership dept I think are unfairly criticised by members. I mean the underlings who take calls. I’ve found them almost always to be cheerful and most helpful. I’m yet to have to move seats or stuff like that. A few years ago I enquired about moving seats and they said call back once the seat renewal period lapsed.
I reckon if you find out the reserved seat renewal date for your chosen category you’ll be able to make changes if you call them post this date. There’s always turnover.
Beyond that….. “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”!
I spoke to super helpful membership worker today and we worked out that my members voucher (for 2025) still works but only online. Got 30 bux off a gift which was a good outcome. Don’t think it would have worked in the physical shop though.
Letting the members credit accumulate over the years is a absolute no brainier for mine. Reward the loyalty.
Received my membership ‘pack’ today. My overwhelming thought was, ‘Is that all…?’ Every year there seems to be less and less.
I don’t really care about the membership packs for the adults. Couple of stickers etc.
I hope that they don’t skimp on the kids membership packs. It’s honestly one of the more exciting Essendon things for the kids.
i would prefer just an electronic barcode straight to the mobile phone and save the money for the club to spend on coaching
No mention of the crap music played before games or the music after goals when we are down by 60+.
Thank you to everyone who completed our Member Satisfaction Survey at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Your feedback plays a vital role in shaping the future of our Club. We want to be transparent with our findings and what you have told us, and importantly, the steps we are taking to strengthen the Essendon Football Club.

We know it has been a challenging season and we share your feelings of frustration, however it is important you know that we are fully committed to moving forward with purpose, and ensuring our members and fans feel proud of our great Club.
From your feedback we have identified five key areas that we would like to share the results, and our commitments for the season ahead.

OUR ACTIONS
Your sense of belonging is and always has been important to us. We will continue to provide opportunities for our members to connect with the Club and our players outside of game day. Here is a snapshot of what you can look forward to for season 2026.
• We have launched our Dons Summer Series for the pre-season where members and fans can join us at the NEC Hangar to watch the boys train, grab a photo or signature, and soak up the atmosphere. With one event already complete, we hope to see you at the next session during the school holidays on Wednesday, January 21.
• More open training sessions with snap & sign opportunities during the season with member activities and giveaways, and special offers in the Bomber Shop.
• We are heading to South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia during the 2026 Home and Away season, and we look forward to seeing our local members. Keep an eye on your emails and social media for details on when and where you can catch the Bombers when we come to town.
• If you are not able to connect in person, we will continue to provide behind the scenes digital access to what is going on at the Club. We recently released Day One, which showed what the first day of pre-season looked like for some of our young guns, and Behind the Draft that included a look at how our newest draftees are settling into life as Bombers. There is more to come, so stay connected with us via our website, and social media channels.
• If you are keen to explore more formal ways to connect with the Club and our players, official Player Sponsorships Packages are available to purchase. Click here to find out more.

While the 2025 season didn’t deliver the results we had hoped for, it gave us an undeniable look at the Club’s bright future. We celebrated a historic season with 15 debutants, the most in AFL history (outside of expansion clubs) along with four Rising Star nominees – Caddy, Roberts, Clarke and Kako. This incredible influx of talent firmly reinforces the direction we are heading and proves this is a journey you will want to share with us.
We genuinely feel the weight of expectation from our dedicated members, knowing how long it has been since our last premiership success. Rest assured, the players, coaches, and the entire Club share your hunger for the ultimate achievement and remain absolutely committed to delivering it.
The playing group is galvanized, energized, and pushing for immediate success. Our focus is now on taking strategic risks to push quickly up the ladder, driven by the goal of making everyone proud to play, work, and follow this Club. Ultimately, achieving on-field success is what enriches our community and confirms the collective pride in the Essendon Football Club.
Our mission is clear: to work every day to earn the right to compete. Our immediate ambition is to return to finals and win.
That is what we’re all striving for.
OUR ACTIONS
• We have significantly boosted our internal capabilities by investing heavily in our High-Performance team. We welcome Dr. Mathew Inness as Head of High Performance and Medical, alongside David Regan as Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach. This elite team has already been working intensively with our rehab group during the off-season to ensure sustainable recovery, and with pre-season now fully underway, the players are being pushed to peak condition for the season ahead.
• Since 2022, we have aggressively managed our list with 39 changes, demonstrating our commitment to rapid evolution. This has resulted in a competition-leading 17 debutants since the start of 2024, including a VFL/AFL record 15 in the 2025 season alone.
• Our strategic list management is equally exciting. You’ve seen the injection of talent added through the trade period and national draft: we secured the valuable experience of Brayden Fiorini (Gold Coast SUNS) alongside a host of exceptional youth, including Sullivan Robey (Pick 9), Jacob Farrow (Pick 10), Dyson Sharp (Pick 13), Max Kondogiannis (Pick 36), and Hussein El-Achkar (Pick 53).
There is genuinely plenty to be excited about in 2026.

OUR ACTIONS
While it is great for broadcasting, we understand that consistently attending Thursday and Friday night games is not possible for everyone. This is particularly challenging for our regional members who travel a significant distance to cheer on the red and black from the stands.
• Since the completion of the 2025 season, we have worked with the AFL to ensure our 2026 fixture reflected dates and times that would suit a variety of members and fans.
• The 2026 Home and Away fixture brings more Saturday and Sunday games, as well as traditional time slots for blockbuster and traditional marquee games. This will provide opportunities for those travelling, and members to attend with their whole family.
• When you are at games, please remember that you have access to our dedicated member rooms. At Marvel Stadium, all members have access to the Victory Room on Level 1, while High Mark and Gold can access the Quill and Rogers Room on Level 2. At the MCG, members with reserved seats on Level 2 can also access the Hassett Room in the Shane Warne Stand.
• These rooms are designed for members to connect with the Club, and with each other. In 2026 we plan to host an array of activities including:
- Past and present player appearances
- Signing sessions
- Sponsor activations and exclusive offers
Food and beverage exclusive offers - Game Day raffle and prizes
- Supporter group activation and integration
• If there is something else you want to see and experience in our members rooms on game day, let us know by providing your feedback below.

OUR ACTIONS
We love to hear from you! Our membership team is always busy answering calls and emails and reaching out to unrenewed members to sign up for the season ahead.
• We have invested in our membership service team, growing our headcount by 20% during peak renewal periods in the lead-up to Round 1 so we can answer your queries more efficiently. Throughout our busiest inbound traffic period in October, call wait times were down 25% compared to the previous year.
• We are also the first Club to improve our app, optimising the digital member card function. Our hope is that this will reduce the number of issues experienced on game day for you.
• We always want to know how we can make your member service experience better, or if there has been a specific query you feel has not been actioned to your satisfaction. Click below if you would like to provide us additional feedback.

My membership pack arrived this morning. Looks ace it’s like a really nice little lunch box and a water bottle plus a cool stamp and lots of stickers. Could not have asked for more and to be fair would be happy with just the tickets.
That’s one way of spinning the broadcasters don’t want to air us and the AFL doesn’t think we are worthy of primetime fixtures, I guess.
That’s great for people who have seats nearby, but our reserved seats at Marvel are L3, on the wing, on the other side of Marvel. The G reserved seats are L1 Olympic stand. Not sure we could be further away.
I received this too. Good on them, being transparent and communicating.
Credit where it’s due. The club, as noted by the President at the AGM has made a dedicated effort to open the club up to fans so they feel more connected. This is another good example.
The socials coverage of the draft, players returning and leadership changes have been refreshingly good.
A promising sign the club is listening and starting to take action. May it continue.
More funeral-like atmosphere, lukewarm stubbies, and party sausage rolls for the rest of the members in the rooms!
I’m sure most of the events will leave plenty of time to get to your seats.
Not really, I tried it last year at Marvel but it just wasn’t worth it. I’ll have a crack at the G, but I suspect it will be the same result.
When do we get barcodes for Gather round?
It’s rated 2.8 out of 100, but they don’t mention that
Club sent email out weeks ago and Member tickets opened a couple of weeks ago. I picked up a couple for some mates that want to go. Our game shouldn’t be sold out so still should be able to get tickets.
At the end of the day the membership dept/club engagement etc is mainly determined by on field results. Members are not happy/frustrated because we were bottom four.
Membership dept put out post game content and get smashed on social media.
The club is doing more for members (open training, videos etc) so hopefully that assists.
It’s pretty obvious, no-one is happy with what happened at EFC in 2025. No wonder so many were angry about what happened. If we win our fair share of games, that will change!
