Mid Season Draft 2025

Even in previous years we get linked to players.
It’s just we ended up taking someone completely unlinked.

The media simply run things because we generate clicks

If you know, you know….

We’re linked to him because Rosa was at his match and the media decided he was the player Rosa was interested in. Can’t do much about that.

Just sayin…

Watch a team which has 4 ruckmen on their list draft him ahead of us.

We will have 3 picks. Take Brayden Crossley

How many ruck Essendon draft?

At this rate we’ll have 8

We might need to pick 10 players at this rate!

Surely we can get BIG FLIP to come out of retirement for half a season

Crucial pickup now

Crossley or Keogh would have to be a big chance

It seems a sad scenario to have 5 ruckmen on our list and yet here we are about to need to draft another one.

No more ruckman to fill roles please. It’s a nothing year, no point trying to scrape an extra win.

We have Goldy for this purpose.and otherwise send VIGO up.

I tend to agree that it’d be a waste. But you know it’s happening.

Don’t agree it would be a waste.

If Goldy retires and we have two rucks coming off big injuries and potentially both unlikely for round 1 there is no chance we don’t sign a ruck ahead of next season.

I would much rather pick up someone like Keogh who could turn into something than have to pick up a journeyman like Tom Campbell in the trade period.

Can he play seniors asap ?

Vigo is a second year player, and most rucks take 5ish years to be ready. If he has to ruck a considerable chunk of the year (in the not-unlikely case that Goldstein gets an old man injury having to carry the load for the next four and a half months without a real chop-out) then he’s going to get broken by more mature bodies.

A mature stopgap ruck in the MSD is absolutely mandatory, annoyingly.
