wtf is with this flight over crimebourne area. 4th highest tracked flight on flight radar apparently
A pilot with knowledge of 787-9s said what was described could happen quite easily if the pilotâs seat was electrically driven forward.
âThe control column if pushed forward enough, will override the autopilot causing it to disconnect,â said the pilot.
âThe aircraft would then suddenly pitch down causing a negative G scenario where people would be up in the air if no seatbelt was worn.â
So apparently a loose covered switch on the back of the seat was triggered by a hostess leaning on the cover, causing the seat to move forward, pushing the pilot into the yoke.
Yet several Qantas 787 pilots donât believe that to be the full reason. They do laugh at all these online fake pilots who produce these clips though. There is still far too many questions that havenât been answered yet and I suspect it will be some time if at all before it gets released
Must be the longest and stiffest-armed pilot ever.
(In the auto-pilot scenario it makes even less sense.)
And the seats donât move that quickly.
The way some of the commentary on it is you would be led to believe they are like ejection seats and they throw you forward at the speed of sound
Yes, that video above shows an example of the seat speed moving forward.
I assume thereâs a switch the pilot has access to, that moves the seat backwards when he wants to get up, or is it the same switch on the back of the seat?
Donât leave us hanging, give us the goss
" Come and sit on my lap, baby"
" Oohh this switch is in the way"
Both " Aahhhhhrrrrr!!!"
We were told by a captain on a Jetstar plane last week that we couldnât disembark by only the front door as the plane would tip. Surely his mate next to him dared him to run with that?
No, that is the truth believe it or not.
A man has died after falling out of a hot air balloon. Body was found near Albert Street Preston.
Novel way to top yourself
Spare a thought for the emergency personnel tasked with the clean-up.
I saw those (?) balloons this morning, and thought âI should be throwing boomerangs instead of workingâ.
(they typically fly on low/no wind mornings)
