More a homage to da Vinci

They moved it away from the airport in the 70’s but it found its way back unfortunately

Could be worse, at least it is no yellow peril.

It’s not as traumatic as the one in Athens, where you see the body just before it becomes a smeared paste on the ground:

The reaction to that sculpture was anti-progressive, with dreary old conservative Melbourne of the Bolte era.

Melbourne, progressive or not, got it right with that sculpture, it is apiece of rubbish that has been hidden in several different locations, and still no one wants to see it.

It’s never been exhibited in the location to suit it. The Bolte Bridge sculptures were treated differently in the Kennett years.

I will not accept this disrespect of “The Vault”

The reaction said more about Melbourne than it did about the piece.

Btw, the current location at ACCA is decent I reckon

Move it 30m south to the bottom of the Yarra, would be even more decent, downright suitable.

You clearly have your ACCA confused with your ACMI.

It’s already south of the Yarra, in the shadows of the ventilation stacks from the CityLink tunnels.

That just means it has been moved from the last time it assaulted my vision.

It’s been there for 15 years at least
