Missing/crashed planes, and other aviation mis/adventures

How can that possibly happen? Those thing move at about an inch per hour, and the planes at that point don’t move any faster.

And Melbourne’s turn this morning with a VA aircraft being towed collided with a tug

How does that happen? There are meant to be separation zones.

Everyone safe but d@#kheads nearly all with their carry on luggage.

Someone will be getting a ‘please explain’, it was under tow and the plane separated.

Given that collecting hand luggage seriously slows down the evacuation of a plane and can threaten the integrity of escape slides - such as puncturing them - how is it not a criminal offence to take it when leaving the plane in such an evacuation? Much stronger measures need to be taken because it is putting other people’s lives in danger.

Only just bought it and first time flying it apparently.

Dumb ways to die comes to mind.
Flying a light single over Bass Strait in the middle of winter doesn’t strike me as the smartest decision.
Survival time in the water would be 30m if you’re lucky.

Reportedly the plane didn’t complete the first leg at Leongatha en route to Hillston in western NSW.
