Missing/crashed planes, and other aviation mis/adventures

What are the laws /rules for something like that?

Powered gives way to unpowered IIRC

Can’t give way if you don’t see it. Both so very very lucky. That looks about 3 or 4 metres from the propeller.

Do they all get charged for leaving the scene of the accident?

Sounds like the pilot has been charged.

As they should.

Thought this was worth sharing. Pretty spectacular. If legit of course.

Not the same organisation (a private mountain rescue team instead), but based on the way these boys flew in the documentary “The Horn” (snigger) I could believe it was real.

I’d probably believe it, those guys are absolute freaks at their job and have amazing skills.
Some years back we stayed on top of Mt Pilatus and on our final day we were taking the gondola back down and about 1/4 of the way in the bloody thing stopped. After 40 minutes of being stranded with a dozen others plus the terrified gondola operator word came through that the rescue chopper was coming and that we would need to climb up through the escape hatch and be airlifted out. The chopper roared into view and by this time my wife was sitting on the floor in tears as she is scared of heights but thankfully a couple of minutes later the gondala powered up and disaster avoided.
I love heights but swinging in the breeze 2km up in the air for the best part of an hour wasn’t fun

Reckon it’s empty when he comes in like that. There’d be chunder everywhere :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

You must have a story to tell about the Himalayas trip.

I woke up one morning it was cold minus 20 and when the Sherpa gave me my tea I coughed up blood …we were at around 5800m so the doctor placed me Ina portable altitude chamber as he was of the opinion I had a pulmonary oedema.

Tried for rescue chopper but weather wouldn’t allow it to drive so I walked down a couple of hundred metres to a village where 2 Sherpa sat with me the whole night .

Next morning weather was better so I kept walking slowly down hill until it arrived .

I had no symptoms for the previous 25 days I was there .
