MLB 2021

Went into the celebrity deaths thread instead however just wanted to say what an absolute legend Hank Aaron was.
Watched a truckload of stuff on him today.
Obviously I’d always heard about him and what he had done with records etc.
Didn’t comprehend until today what the bloke had to deal with when it came to racism.
Call me naive…

Anyway the bloke was a superstar.

Yanks get RHP Jameson Taillon from the Bucs for four prospects.

Nats get closer Brad Hand.

JT signs with Philly after a really long time. Still seems waiting saved Phillies a lot of money

Arenado to the Cardinals. Wow. @StealthBomber

I needed some good news man.

Nolan is a beast. My favorite non-Giants player. Congrats dude.

I just hope Colorado will be okay… they obviously aren’t my favourite team, but I would hate for them to become a small market backwater nobody wants to go to.

The NL West is stacked.

Braves sign Marcel Ozuna for 4 years at $16m per, with an option for a 5th at $18m.

Now Atlanta will be hoping for the universal DH. He can field LF but not very well.

And Elvis Andrus leaves Texas for Oakland in a swap with Khris Davis, plus extras on both sides.

Was hoping Ozuna would come back to STL.

Trading Fowler leaves us a bit green in the outfield.

Benintendi to KC with the Mets and Red Sox involved with PTBNL, mainly with guys I don’t know.

RP Mark Melancon to the Padres
SP Jake Arrieta back to the Cubs (not confirmed)

Thanks for these updates Noonan. Appreciated.

There are lots of bit players, minor leaguers and PTBNLs in these trades.

If I’m not familiar with a guy in a trade, I don’t mention them.

And it’s finally happening. Names on the back of the Giants’ home jerseys.

Thank God the Yankees never do that

The locals here are not taking too kindly to it.
